I found this article very useful when it comes to following guidelines to weigh the progress and failures of a business. Although the writer states that this process is very helpful and used among for-profit organization – I find it to be very useful in a non-profit organization as well. I would definitely use these guidelines to evaluate my business. Internal evaluation is just as important as external; they both can be useful to the organization. Finding out “what worked” helps the organization continue using this method to help with future goals. Writing reports will show proof of the organization’s progress over the months. These days, I'm more focused on internal process - I hope that eventually I can begin to look more outward in that way.
