I, too, love Firefox - and I often find my time has disappeared as I look through many of the add ons! Its like shopping!

My favs are first, Zotero, which has been indispensable as I finish grad school. It keeps track of all your research (articles, books, films, websites, etc), stores them in an easy to organize place, ridiculously easy to add, and the best thing of all...it will make a bibliography from your list! No more counting commas and colons!!!

Secondly, I like KnowMore. It places small icons next to search results, or a tiny popup bar on webpages, informing you of the social responsibilities (or lack thereof) of major corporations. Knowmore.org

My fave FF add-ons:

Flash Block: Gets rids of those annoying flash ads (Curse you, dancing mortgage lady) and sort of corrects the weird Flash 9 bug if you have too many tabs open.

Ubiquity: too cool to describe. Watch the vid: http://lifehacker.com/5042312/ubiquity-prototype-offers-a-natural-language-web-command-line

CoLT: for faster blogging. Makes it faster to copy either a hyperlink's text or both the link and the link's text

I love del.icio.us. Plus I use Stumble Upon - not sure if that is directly related to Firefox. Thanks for the tools, I hope to check some of them out.

For development: Firebug is indispensable. Web Developer is handy. Live HTTP Headers is surprisingly useful.

I like Better GMail 2 -- modest UI improvements to GMail make it a little more usable.

Screen grab! is helpful for design, sharing and archival (full-length web page screenshots).

I have XDebug helper installed but don't use it much.

Currently turned off: Pluribo, Read it later, Google Toolbar, Ubiquity

I also use bookmarklets from delicious, google reader and tumblr.
